ABOUT
Eight rooms. One vision.
Chamber Eight
An independent, director-led creative company from Istanbul, founded in May 2024. We make films that are felt — across creative direction, campaigns and film — for brands that want to be remembered, not just seen.
The name
Chamber Eight was imagined as a house of eight rooms: eight companies, each with its own craft, under one vision. This is the first room — the one where films are made. Everything else is built from here.
Sabit Başman — Founder & Director
Sabit Başman is a director and creative director based in Istanbul. He began with photography and short films, then spent years on the production side — as a production director and media producer — before founding Chamber Eight in May 2024. Behind the camera, he has worked on projects for brands such as Johnnie Walker, Volvo, Longines, Yves Rocher and BluTV, alongside real-estate films and monthly film programmes for doctors and clinics. Today he works across both worlds. On set, he directs live-action films — and often shoots them himself. With AI, he uses the technology as a camera, not a shortcut. The tools change every month; what doesn't change is the work underneath: a strong idea, deep research, a director's point of view, and sound that carries the story. His taste runs toward worlds built from a single idea — the patience of Vince Gilligan's Pluribus, the scale and silence of Denis Villeneuve's Dune — and toward a feeling he calls happy-melancholy: stories that move you, and leave you smiling even when they hurt.
